It’s only temporary

It’s only temporary

Hello lovely people,

I’m so glad everyone’s been enjoying these blogs & reading them. The second half of February TESTED me, it always seems to this time of year.

My husbands appendix perforated & both of the boys where quite ill, so it put a big ol’ pause on all work for me - I temporarily moved into the work room with baby Macsen so hubby wasn’t squashed accidentally in bed. This however led to me being taunted by an almost finished item of clothing hung up opposite the bed 😂

I tried to use what free time I did have by starting to schedule and draft up posts for March Meet the Maker - as I’m determined to get this done this year! I never manage it normally, last year we all had covid, and prior to that I think I wasn’t confident enough yet to participate.

Then the inevitable happened… the cold I’d had for almost a month turned into the flu and I’m still sounding like a distant relative of a fog horn 🫣😂 the day before this though I had a lovely time in the snow with the boys and our Friends.

Then the frantic prep for Portsmouth Tattoo fest began… 😳 so far, I have a good bit cut ready to get sewn together but I’m considering moving my machines downstairs temporarily to be able to work more freely through the day if needed. I’m very lucky a couple of my friends have offered to come have the boys for an hour or so so I can get some work done.

--------------------------------------------------------

Things have taken a strange turn at Alice Acid HQ, and as a result, this blog is being finished by me (@ebwritingservices). Sadly there has been a huge water leak in Chloë's home, meaning they are in temporary accommodation so I’ve decided to come and fill in the blanks.

Although it's quite fitting as the gorgeous Chloë had already asked us to feature our matching jumpsuits this month for Mother's Day, so now you get a double dose of me!

Although Mother’s Day has been and gone, I will use ANY excuse to wear our matching jumpsuit & romper. They are hands down the most comfortable and versatile clothing we own, without compromising on looking FABULOUS.

I’m sure a lot of parents can relate to feeling a bit lost initially when becoming a parent, and as someone who always loved to look and dress distinctively, there was a hole in my soul to find clothing that would be breastfeeding-accessible, comfy, and striking.

This jumpsuit is so incredibly flattering and easy to style, plus HUGE pockets can store so many trinkets. My daughter is a couple of months away from her 3rd birthday and still has plenty of growing room in her 18-24 month romper- it is magic.

I love wearing these with my trainers so I can keep up with the toddler, but I cannot wait until the sun comes back and I can wear platform sandals again because they make the outfit look so chic.

Just chucking on a black jumper/t-shirt/vest (weather dependent) with these is such an incredible outfit in itself and takes about 2 seconds to get together.

Whether one or both of us are wearing them, we always get compliments and this seems to double if I have one of our bags to hand too!

We recently went away for 5 days and this meant our overnight bag got its first outing, and I’m still in shock I managed to fit everything in it for both myself and my daughter.

The waterproof shoe compartment is a genius idea and its capacity to store all our dirty clothes and swimming costumes until we got home was a lifesaver.

I feel like this jumpsuit can easily see me through my next pregnancy, and thanks to Chloë's incredible skills I feel like I’ve found myself in motherhood. Of course, I can’t forget the fantastic clothing for my daughter too which is lasting so much longer than any high street brands (and makes it very easy to spot her in a crowd).

I’m sure I won’t be the only person sending good vibes and love to Chloë and her family as they try to get their house sorted after such significant water damage.

I know we can all agree she is a magical being who’s made so many of us feel ourselves through her amazing products, and I cannot wait for MTO to reopen in May.
